One of the biggest chain restaurants across the nation has found its home in The Biggest Little City. For those of you who haven’t heard, I’m talking about the magnificent Cheesecake Factory. A restaurant where cheesecake fantasies come true, and delicious fresh food creations are aimed to please all palettes.
My girlfriends and I needed some girl time, and what better place to catch up then a place that holds the best desserts in town. The Cheesecake Factory is located inside Meadowood Mall, in Reno. It boasts having over 200 menu options and 50, Yes 50, cheesecake and specialty desserts. What I love most about the Cheesecake Factory is that they make their food daily from scratch, and like most restaurants they are happy to make menu modifications based on your needs.
The Cheesecake Factory has a casual yet sophisticated vibe. Sundays best attire is not required, but you might want to take it up a notch. As we drove there we were expecting a long wait to be seated, however we were pleasantly surprised when we were told the wait was only 30 minutes.
The hostess took our cell number down and said she would text once our table was ready. This gave us the chance to entertain ourselves in the mean time by walking around at the mall. As you can imagine, three girls with shopping fetishes our 30 minutes flew by and the text came promptly within the quoted time frame.
The Cheesecake Factory offers in door and outdoor seating. We decided to sit outside. The patio seating was romantically lit with soft glowing candles, and felt cozy. For us locals who know the weather in Reno is crazy, we can rest easy knowing the restaurant has elegant outdoor heaters to keep us warm.
The service was exceptional and our waitress never skipped a beat. One of my girlfriends ordered the Chicken Bellagio, a crispy coated chicken breast over basil pasta and Parmesan cream sauce, topped with prosciutto and Arugula salad. Can you say amazing. My other friend ordered the Spicy Chicken Chipotle Pasta. If you’re looking for something spicy with a little kick, I would definitely recommend this. It consists of penne pasta, honey glazed chicken, asparagus, red,and yellow peppers, garlic and onion in a spicy chipotle Parmesan cream sauce.
I ordered one of their top favorites, Chicken Madeira, and I was not disappointed. This delicious plate had sauteed chicken breast, topped with fresh asparagus and melted mozzarella cheese. Covered with mushroom madeira sauce and served with mashed potatoes. We were beyond delighted with our food choices, but the best was yet to come.
The reason why we starved ourselves all day had arrived, drum-roll please, dessert time. With over 50 different choices, we were in heaven and a little overwhelmed by all the delicious options. It’s was nice going with a few friends because I got to try a little bit of everything. One of my friends ordered the Dulce de Leche Caramel Cheesecake, which as you assumed consisted of caramel cheesecake, topped with caramel mousse on a vanilla crust. This was my favorite of the night, literally to die for creamy, rich goodness. My other friend ordered The Wild Blueberry White Chocolate Cheescake. This one consists of the original cheesecake with blue berries and white chocolate mousse. Another amazing choice.
I went with the original fresh strawberry cheesecake, which wasn’t as amazing as the ones mentioned above, yet it was still good. Guess I should have known better, too basic of an item to order at such an amazing dessert restaurant. The menu is very well priced, and the portions are very large. You can have a top-notch dinner for just under $25. We had an amazing experience and will be dinning there more often. The possibilities in this food lovers paradise are endless. Reno has been given a great gift with the coming of the The Cheesecake Factory.
